2025年7月末から４泊５日でルネッサンスリゾートオキナワに宿泊しました。
結果、とてもよかったです。ただ、一部注意点があるので、振り返りたいと思います。
本音レビューです。

よかった点
・イルカと触れ合える、泳げる！（有料）
・船に乗れたり、子供のアクティビティーが楽しい（有料）
・室内と野外にプールがあり、朝から晩まで楽しめる！（無料）
・プランベートビーチも朝から楽しめる！夕方はホテルが陰になって日焼けしない！（無料）
・温泉がある。プールの後の温泉はとても良い（連泊の場合は無料）
・朝と昼ごはんが食べ放題（連泊の場合は無料）
・ランドリーが各フロアにあり、２４時間使える（無料）
・パジャマはズボンタイプのしっかりしたものがあったので自分で持っていなかくても良い（無料）
・サンダルもあるので自分で持っていかなくて良い（無料）
・ラウンジで飲み物をいつでも飲める（連泊の場合は無料）
・ベッドの寝心地良し、ベッドの広さも良し
いまいちだった点
・ご飯がほとんど毎日同じため、飽きる
・宿泊の値段はお高め（見合ってはいると思う！あと時期による！）
・部屋掃除が早い。９時半から掃除に来るので、その時間に準備が間に合っていない場合は「起こさないでください」をドアに貼っておくと良い
・アクティビティーの予約システムが難しい（後述を参照）
・夕ご飯のいい時間帯の予約が取りづらい（→食べっぱなしなので早いよりは遅めの方がいいかも）
・駐車場のシステムがめちゃくちゃ分かりづらい（後述を参照）
特に注意したほうがいい点
【駐車場が分かりづらい】
・初日、ホテルに到着したらスタッフさんに車のキーを渡し、ホテルから１０分くらいする駐車場に停めてきてくれます。次の日、車で出かける時はスタッフさんに言って、運転手のみ、その駐車場に連れて行ってもらいました。そこから自分でホテル前に車を持ってくるシステムみたいでした。
そういうシステムなんだな、と思い、次の日もホテル前に車を停め、車のキーを渡そうと思ったら、「ホテルの目の前の第２駐車場に自分で止めてください」と言われました。「どういうこと？第２駐車場ってどこですか？」と聞いたら、すぐそこです、とジェスチャーされました。ただ、目の前と言っても、車ではぐるっと回らないと入れない場所にあります。（実質１０分くらいかかる。。。）
どこにどう停めるのかは、その時の車の台数によると思いますが、戸惑いました。結局２日目以降は自分で第２駐車場に停めました。駐車場は結構狭いので運転初心者は心づもりを。あと、これは、ホテルレポではないですが、我が家が沖縄に行ったときはフライトが遅れて、渋滞の時間帯にハマってしまい、那覇空港から２時間以上かかって到着してしまいました。フライトは１４時羽田発、１６時半沖縄到着予定でしたが１７時到着で、荷物をピックアップ、レンタカーを借りる等していると、見事那覇市内で帰宅ラッシュに丸被りになり、悲惨な目に会いました。。。次は絶対違う時間帯のフライトにします！
【アクティビティーは予約も集合場所も複雑】
・アクティビティーは前日までにお金を支払う必要があります。アクティビティーカウンターは１７時までなので注意してください。また、どのアクティビティーも１０分前集合で、集合場所も少し分かりにくく、同時に色々なアクティビティーが開催されるので、スタッフさんに聞かないとどれがどのアクティビティー待ちの団体かわかりませんでした。
・アクティビティーは必ずできるとは限らない、欲張って詰め込みすぎると子供の集中力（体力）が持たない
アクティビティーは実施時間が決まっているので、やりたいアクティビティーの開始時間が重なっていると当然できません。また、当日何のアクティビティーが空いているかはカウンターに行ってみないと分からないので、その時に（家族に相談する暇もなく）またタイムラインを考えなければいけないのがかなり難しかったです。
ドルフィンエンカウンターは宿泊３ヶ月前に電話で予約した時は希望日はすでに満席でしたが、現地に行ったら少しだけ枠が空いていました。ホームページでは１０時の回しか記載がありませんが、私の時は１４時半の回もありました。イルカちゃんの体調を見て枠数を決めているみたいなので、旅行日間近に電話したら事前予約ができる場合があると思いました。
ホームページにアクティビティーの実施時間が書いてあるので、事前に考えておくと良いかも！

８時半から受付開始だったので、８時１５分くらいに行ったら２人程度しか並んでいませんでした。（7/30時点 （平日））
ただ、チェックインした人から予約できるシステムなので、ずっとバツのアクティビティーもありますね。チェックインもできる限り早くしたほうが予約できる可能性が上がります。
以下は、我が家の場合の１日のスケジュールです。参考になると嬉しいです！
８時 「朝ごはん」
１０時「はりきゅう船」
１０時４５分「ラウンジ」
１１時半 「クマノミ号」
１２時半「プール」
１３時半「昼ごはん（水着のまま食べられるのでチップトップで食べるのがおすすめ！）

１６時半「部屋でゆっくり」

１９時「晩御飯」
メインイベントのドルフィンエンカウンターの時、5歳のたんぽこがすでに疲れていて少しぐずりましたが、イルカを見たら楽しく泳いでくれました！
沖縄旅行で一番楽しかったのは？と聞いたら、「イルカと泳いだこと！」と言ってくれました。
私もイルカと触れ合うのは多分子供の頃以来。たんぽこままも楽しい時間でした。
総じて、ルネッサンスリゾートオキナワはとても良いホテルでした！

The verdict? It was absolutely wonderful! However, there are a few things to watch out for, so I’d like to look back on our trip. This is my completely honest review.

What Was Great (Pros)
- You can interact and swim with dolphins! (Paid)
- Riding boats and kids’ activities are a lot of fun! (Paid)
- There are both indoor and outdoor pools, which you can enjoy from morning to night! (Free)
- The private beach can be enjoyed right from the morning! In the evening, the hotel blocks the sun, so you won’t get sunburned! (Free)
- There’s a hot spring. Taking a hot bath after the pool is amazing (Free for consecutive-night stays)
- All-you-can-eat breakfast and lunch (Free for consecutive-night stays)
- Laundry facilities are on every floor and available 24/7 (Free)
- They provide high-quality pajamas with pants, so you don’t need to bring your own (Free)
- Sandals are also provided, so no need to pack them (Free)
- You can grab drinks at the lounge anytime (Free for consecutive-night stays)
- The beds are spacious and very comfortable to sleep in.
What Could Be Better (Cons)
- The food is almost the same every day, so you might get tired of it.
- The accommodation price is on the higher side (though I think it’s worth it! Plus, it depends on the season!).
- Room cleaning starts early. They come around 9:30 AM, so if you aren’t ready by then, it’s best to put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door.
- The activity reservation system is complicated (see below).
- It’s hard to book prime times for dinner (→ Since you’ll be eating constantly anyway, a later slot might actually be better than an early one).
- The parking system is incredibly confusing (see below).
Points to Be Especially Careful About
【The parking lot is confusing】 On the first day, when we arrived at the hotel, we handed our car keys to the staff, and they parked it in a lot about 10 minutes away. The next day, when we wanted to go out, we asked the staff, and only the driver was taken to that parking lot. It seemed to be a system where you then drive the car back to the front of the hotel yourself.
Thinking that was just how it worked, I tried to hand over my keys at the front of the hotel again the next day, but was told, “Please park it yourself in the Second Parking Lot right in front of the hotel.” When I asked, “What do you mean? Where is the Second Parking Lot?”, they just gestured that it was “right there.” However, even though it’s “right in front,” it’s located in a spot that requires a big detour by car to actually enter (it essentially takes about 10 minutes…).
How and where you park probably depends on the number of cars at the time, but it was bewildering. From the second day onward, we just parked in the Second Parking Lot ourselves. The parking spots are quite narrow, so beginner drivers should be mentally prepared.
Also—this isn’t really a hotel review, but when our family went to Okinawa, our flight was delayed and we got caught right in rush-hour traffic. It took us over 2 hours to get there from Naha Airport! Our flight was supposed to leave Haneda at 14:00 and arrive in Okinawa at 16:30, but we arrived at 17:00. By the time we picked up our luggage and got our rental car, we hit the Naha city evening rush hour perfectly and had a miserable time… Next time, I will absolutely choose a flight at a different time!
【Activity reservations and meeting spots are complicated】 You have to pay for activities by the day before. Be careful, because the activity counter closes at 17:00. Also, every activity requires you to gather 10 minutes beforehand, and the meeting spots are a bit hard to find. Since various activities are happening at the same time, we couldn’t tell which group was waiting for which activity without asking the staff.
Activities aren’t always guaranteed, and if you get greedy and pack in too many, your child’s concentration (and stamina) won’t last. Activities have fixed schedules, so naturally, if the start times overlap, you can’t do both. Also, you don’t know what activities are available on the day until you go to the counter. Having to rethink your timeline right there on the spot (without time to consult your family) was pretty difficult.
When I called to book the Dolphin Encounter 3 months before our stay, our preferred date was already fully booked, but when we got there, a few slots had opened up. The website only lists a 10:00 AM slot, but during our stay, there was a 14:30 slot as well. It seems they decide the number of slots based on the dolphins’ health, so I realized that if you call right before your trip, you might be able to book in advance.

Reception started at 8:30 AM, and when we went at around 8:15 AM, there were only about 2 people in line. (As of July 30th – Weekday) However, since the system prioritizes reservations for people who have already checked in, some activities will just be marked with an “X” (full) the whole time. The earlier you can check in, the higher your chances of securing a reservation.
Our 1-Day Schedule
Here is our family’s schedule for one of the days. I hope it serves as a helpful reference!
- 8:00 AM – Breakfast
- 10:00 AM – Harikyu Boat
- 10:45 AM – Lounge
- 11:30 AM – Kumanomi (Anemonefish) Boat
- 12:30 PM – Pool
- 1:30 PM – Lunch (I recommend eating at “Tip Top” since you can eat in your swimsuits!)
- 2:30 PM – Dolphin Encounter
- 3:30 PM – Hot Spring
- 4:30 PM – Relaxing in the room
- 5:30 PM – Pick up Dolphin Encounter photos (Note that they close at 18:00!)
- 7:00 PM – Dinner
During our main event, the Dolphin Encounter, my 5-year-old, Tanpoko, was already tired and got a little cranky, but once we saw the dolphins, we had a blast swimming with them!
When I asked, “What was the most fun part of our Okinawa trip?”, the answer was, “Swimming with the dolphins!” It’s probably been since I was a kid myself that I interacted with dolphins. It was a really fun time for Tanpoko-mama too.
Overall, the Renaissance Resort Okinawa was a fantastic hotel!
