２月の３連休に軽井沢に遊びに行きました。

グリーンプラザホテル軽井沢に宿泊しましたので、レポします。

本音レビューです。また、冬の閑散時期（？）に行ったので、時期による点もあると思います。

おもちゃ王国がやっている時なら全然違うと思います！（春から秋まで営業）

宿泊にはふるさと納税を使用するのが賢い選択！（有効期限は３年なので、安心ですね）

２泊３日のうち、１泊目を軽井沢ホテル１１３０、２泊目をホテルグリーンプラザ軽井沢にしました。ホテル間はタクシーで移動して２３００円でした。

良かった点

・ホテルの外観が絵本に出てくるような外観でとても可愛い

・ホテルマンの方が親切、笑顔が多い

・シルバニアやメルちゃんとコラボした部屋があり、部屋内でおもちゃで遊べる（期間限定？）

・朝７時頃に夕食、朝食の予約メールが届くので、そこから予約することができる

・朝８時頃に、チェックインのメールが届くのでそこからチェックインができるようです（私は今回使用していないので、詳細は不明です）

イマイチだった点

・シャトルバスの本数が少ない

・冬は温泉がない（工事中のため、工事が終われば復活する見込み）

・部屋の設備のお風呂トイレはユニットバスでとても狭い、古め

・遊び場は予想よりも規模が小さめ、赤ちゃん〜３歳くらいまでの子供むけ

・遊び場は１２時〜１４時が清掃時間で使用できない

・大人がリラックスできるようなラグジュアリーなホテルではなく、子供が喜ぶための子供向けホテル

・ランチを食べるところがない

・ご飯は種類が少ない。大人があまり気を引くメニューがない。味は美味しいが比較的普通といった印象

・近くにコンビニを含めお店がないので、あらかじめ軽井沢駅等で必要なものを買っておく必要がある。（小さめの売店はある）

特に注意する点

洗練されたホテルという感じではなく、おもちゃ王国ありきのホテル、という印象。ホテル内であまりすることがないです。でもだからこそ冬季はかなりお安く利用できるのかと思います。軽井沢１１３０と比べるとかなり空いていたので、その分快適に過ごせました。また、ホテルというよりはペンションのようなフランクな感じのホテルでした。

遊び場は２〜３才が喜びそうな小さい子向けだったので、たんぽこは数時間時間を潰すのは難しかったです。（でもなんだかんだ２時間くらいは遊んでくれた）

調査不足だけど、お風呂がユニットバス（多分全部屋ユニットバス）なのは一番残念だった。。。。ホテルに来てまでユニットバス（現実）を感じたくなかった。ここが最も嫌だと感じた部分だった。。。。

たんぽこにホテル軽井沢１１３０とホテルグリーンプラザ軽井沢どちらが好きか聞いたところ、ホテルグリーンプラザ軽井沢の方が部屋におもちゃがあるから好き！と言っていました。ホテルグリーンプラザの方が明らかにテンションが高かったです。（シルバニアファミリーが好きだから特に）
でも大人はホテル軽井沢１１３０の方が好きな方が多いかと思います。どちらも良いホテルだと思いますので、ぜひどちらも行ってみてくださいね！

[Blog] Hotel Green Plaza Karuizawa Stay Report

I visited Karuizawa during the three-day weekend in February and stayed at Hotel Green Plaza Karuizawa. Here is my honest review. Please note that since I visited during the off-season in winter, some aspects might differ during other times of the year.

(It would likely be a completely different experience during the operating season of “Omocha Okoku” / Toy Kingdom, which runs from spring to autumn!)

Pros

Charming Exterior: The hotel looks like something out of a picture book and is very cute.
Excellent Service: The staff members were kind and always had a smile.
Character-Themed Rooms: They have collaboration rooms (e.g., Sylvanian Families, Mell-chan) where children can play with toys inside the room (possibly for a limited time).
Convenient Booking System: You receive an email around 7:00 AM to book dinner and breakfast slots.
Early Check-in Info: A check-in email arrives around 8:00 AM, allowing you to start the process early (though I didn’t use it this time).

Cons

Limited Shuttle Bus: The number of shuttle bus services is quite low.
No Hot Springs in Winter: The hot spring facilities were unavailable during the winter season.
Room Facilities: The bathroom is a typical prefabricated unit (unit bath), which felt very cramped and a bit dated.
Small Play Area: The indoor play area was smaller than expected, catering mostly to infants and toddlers up to 3 years old.
Play Area Downtime: It is closed for cleaning between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
Not for Luxury: This is a kid-focused hotel designed for children’s enjoyment, rather than a luxury resort for adult relaxation.
Dining Options: There are no places to eat lunch nearby.
Buffet Variety: The food selection was limited, with few dishes specifically appealing to adults. While it tasted good, the overall impression was “average.”
Lack of Nearby Stores: There are no convenience stores or shops nearby. It is essential to buy what you need at Karuizawa Station before heading to the hotel (though there is a small gift shop on-site).

Important Notes

This hotel feels like it exists primarily to support “Omocha Okoku” (Toy Kingdom) rather than being a standalone “sophisticated” hotel. There isn’t much to do inside the hotel itself. However, because of this, the rates are likely very affordable during the winter. It was much less crowded than Karuizawa Hotel 1130, making for a peaceful stay.

The play area is best suited for 2-3 year-olds. For my child, “Tanpoko,” it was a bit difficult to spend many hours there, though they still managed to play for about two hours.

Interestingly, when I asked Tanpoko which hotel they preferred—Karuizawa Hotel 1130 or Hotel Green Plaza Karuizawa—they chose Hotel Green Plaza Karuizawa because of the toys in the room! (They love Sylvanian Families). While adults might prefer Hotel 1130, both are good hotels in their own right.
